FTC – a PLACE that CARES

At Featherstone Technology College, our first priority is to care for our students.  This means making sure that we make the most of every student’s potential, in terms of what they learn, and what they achieve, throughout their time at the college.  It also means making sure they enjoy the experience they have on a day to day basis.  Whenever we are inspected, our caring for our students is always praised – come in and see for yourself!

Thanks to our fantastic students, staff, parents and Governors, FTC is a really successful college.  Our students learn more, and make more progress than average students do elsewhere.  This is not only true in terms of GCSE results but also in terms of other activities.  Our students receive outstanding reports after their work experience placements and many of our sporting teams are doing really well – and this includes those students involved with disabled sports.  If you live in the community you will know just how good the vast majority of our students really are. 

Finally, I want to tell you just how good the staff at FTC are.  This is not just the teachers, but all those staff involved behind the scenes making sure our students get the best possible experience while they are with us.  As a college, we believe you don’t have to be ill to get better, and therefore we constantly train ourselves to the highest possible national standards.  The last time we were judged by fellow professionals, we were told that we were up to three years in front of many other schools.
