SEPTEMBER 2009

• SUCCESSFUL RE-DESIGNATION- Following a very pleasing 'Good' Ofsted Report in April, the college has successfully re-designated, securing its Specialist Schools Status.

• COMMUNITY LINKS: COB- Cooking on a Budget. As part of Technology College Status, young mums from the Featherstone community attend a on Cooking on a Budget programme. This term the third group begin their program, attending FTC every Monday afternoon to be taught cooking skills and never leave empty handed. A variety of exciting dishes have already been tried and feedback from the group has been extremely positive.

• 100% ATTENDANCE TRIP: ALTON TOWERS- Students who achieved 100% attendance throughout 2008-9 are rewarded with a trip to Alton Towers on Thursday September 17th.
