Join us on the most exciting journey a child can make through their learning years.  Featherstone Technology college is bristling with high tech resources to take children to the limits of their potential.

The internal re-build of the main building has given us the best facilities in the area in Science and Technology.  Securing Technology College status has also enabled us to pack those facilities with the resources and learning opportunities that most schools can only dream of.

New suites in Technology and Science are packed with excellent facilities including an ICT worklab and visualisers.  Technology workshops feature the most up to date equipment such as a CAD/CAM laser cutter, computerised sewing machines and an impressive Food Technology room.

With continued extra Government funding, this will provide enhanced teaching and learning across all subject areas.  It’s out with the blackboards and in with interactive whiteboards, which now engage students in classrooms around the college.

• Access to new sport and swimming facilities, offering students and the community the chance to enjoy the competitive edge for which the area is famous.  The brand new £3m state-of-the-art sport centre boasts a new modern complex which involves a gym, computerised fitness suite, four court sports hall, first class disabled facilities and changing rooms as well as new outdoor synthetic pitches.

• The Independent Learning Centre with enough computer work-stations for all those wishing to use the facility before, during and after college hours in a large and friendly environment with specialist staff on hand to advise and support.

• Excellent ICT provision with over 230 computers available for teaching and learning.

• A Performing Arts studio that has to be seen to be believed with audio/visual equipment normally associated with professional companies.

• Art rooms which are the envy of our neighbours - delivering the sort of opportunities for study that have put us at the forefront of teaching and learning in the authority.
